While the post covid era has normalized the concept of digital learning (quite naturally the RBSE English Medium schools in Jaipur are still speculating and introspecting the long term effects of digital learning on education.
Teachers are convinced that online mode of education is more flexible, personalized, easier to access, collaborative and also makes it convenient to track students' progress. But that's just one side of the picture. "what about the lack of face to face communication between teacher and students which hinders the we are very motive of education? We are struggling to get proper feedback from students in an online class. Also, its quite difficult to monitor students and prevent cheating during online assessments," a teacher from RBSE school in Jaipus expressed her concern.
Many share her concern but we can't let it jeopardize or negate the advantages of digital learning today's era. If we use it as a tool to compliment classroom learning, with proper technological infrastructure, it's indeed a boon.
Students should benefit academically from digital learning and that should be the sole criteria / parameter to judge its success.
So, are we ready?
